We can either be a Consumer, seeking personal gain from our relationship with Jesus; or a Follower, aligning our desires with His. Following Jesus comes at a cost: we are called to deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow Him. Despite the costs, true Followers gain much more in this world and in the future.
