In "Prayer: A Relationship With God," Pastor Paul Klouse shares that prayer is a relationship with God marked by three things: conversation, realness, and closeness. God speaks to us through nature, Scripture, and especially through Jesus, and He also listens when we speak to Him. We don't have to have it all together when we pray. We can come honestly, with our joys, pain, and questions. Jesus is near, knocking at the door of our hearts, waiting for us to invite Him in and experience prayer as a gift rather than an obligation.
